Netflix gives us a tease of its upcoming comedy movie The Week Of, starring Adam Sandler (Grown Ups, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore) and Chris Rock (Everybody Hates Chris, Madagascar, The Chris Rock Show). Watch the teaser on the player below!
Wedding preparations are already stressful enough. Get two fathers who can’t be any more different from each other to spend the week together with their families leading up to their children’s wedding, and it’s tension ripe to explode in seven days of hilarious insanity.
The Week Of also stars Saturday Night Live alumnus Rachel Dratch and Emmy-nominated actor Steve Buscemi. SNL actor and writer Robert Smigel directed the film, and shares co-writing credit with Adam Sandler. It’s produced by Sandler under Happy Madison Productions and his frequent collaborators Allen Covert, Barry Bernardi, and Tim Herlihy. Bernardi and Herlihy served as executive producers.
This is Adam Sandler’s fourth movie in his deal with Netflix to release comedies exclusively on the streaming platform. It follows The Do-Over, Sandy Wexler and The Meyerowitz Stories. The two parties extended the deal back in March 2017 to four more movies.
The Week Of launches globally on April 27, 2018 on Netflix.
