Sabrina Carpenter is reportedly in talks to step into the MCU. There is growing speculation linking her to the role of Dazzler, a mutant pop star from the X-Men universe.

Industry insider @MyTimeToShineHello claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that Carpenter has met with Marvel Studios about playing Alison Blaire. The post reads, “Sabrina Carpenter is now being eyed to play Dazzler in the MCU.” Although Marvel hasn’t confirmed the news, the rumor has already sparked conversation among fans, particularly those curious about the upcoming X-Men reboot.

As of now, Carpenter hasn’t addressed the Dazzler speculation directly. However, she has previously expressed her desire to work in the action genre. In a 2022 interview with Cosmopolitan UK, the pop star shared that she has always dreamed of doing an action movie.

The pop star shared, “Dream acting role: I’ve always wanted to do an action film. I think when I was younger, I remember watching ‘Kick-A–‘ for the first time and I was like ‘That looks like so much fun,’ so I would love to do something in that world.”

Casting buzz around the upcoming X-Men reboot continues to grow, with several actors reportedly being considered for mutant roles. The rumored names include Harris Dickinson (Cyclops), Margaret Qualley (Rogue), Julia Butters (Kitty Pryde), Hunter Schafer (Mystique), Ayo Edebiri (Storm), and Trinity Bliss (Jubilee), among others (via Comic Book Movie).

Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier is reportedly in discussions to take on the project, with a screenplay written by Michael Lesslie. No official release date has been announced yet.

Meanwhile, Carpenter has been in the news recently as she’s set to release her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, on August 29, 2025.
