Since the release of the documentary, there have been several reports that Miranda left her family because of the 7M management company. However, the famous TikTok dancer believes that her life is in danger after the documentary’s release.

According to TODAY, Miranda Derrick moved from her house to Los Angeles. Her sister, Melanie, soon joined her after graduating from high school, and they started making videos for TikTok. In the meantime, Miranda met James Derrick in 2019 and married him two years later.

Although Miranda Derrick reconciled with her family, she feels that the documentary has made it hard for her to communicate with them again.

What did Miranda Derrick say about the Dancing for the Devil documentary?

Miranda Derrick believes that the documentary presents a “one-sided” narrative. Taking it to Instagram stories, she alleged that her mother and sister never liked her going to church. She also claimed that her family harassed her.

Citing her statement, People Magazine reported, “In 2020 I went to Michigan to visit my family for Christmas. My papa was taken to the hospital due to medical issues. We got a phone call saying that he had a short time. Melanie and I drove to the hospital to say our last goodbyes. Before we went to the hospital to do so, I started to pray for our Papa in the car and Melanie got offended, angry with me and told me to stop and to never pray around her. Our Papa passed away that day.”
