In the previous episode of The Passage, Brad was forced to abduct Amy for Project Noah, only to have a change of heart and take on a fatherly role in protecting her from harm. What does this next installment have in store? Let’s find out as we recap The Passage season 1 episode 2 ‘You Owe Me a Unicorn!’
Flawless Impersonation
Amy and Brad continued to evade the police and managed to do so by running a red light and causing a minor traffic accident. The pair managed to impersonate a single father and daughter and got on a bus that was going on a school field trip. Back at the lab, Jonas continued to complain about bringing in a child for the experiment. Eventually, Brad and Amy got off the bus and began driving a new car through the Midwest. Brad had to pull over as his bullet wound was hurting him too severely. Amy called Brad’s ex-wife, who was a doctor, and asked for her help.
Friends In Helpful Places
Amy managed to get Brad awake and the pair continued driving, after Brad destroyed the cell phone to disrupt any tracking software. She made Brad promise not to leave her and she promised not to leave him. The pair were heading towards an old friend that Brad had. They walked towards the woman’s house and purposefully tripped her alarm system. The woman, Lacey, welcomed Brad and Amy into her home. She agreed to fix his bullet wound in exchange for learning about the trouble that Brad had gotten himself into. The lead scientist, Jonas recalled how he and Tim had decided to set out to find the original vampire in Bolivia. Lacey explained to Amy how she and Brad met in the Navy. She then told Amy to go and feed her pet goats.
Reaching An Agreement
Later that day at dinner, Lacey agreed to arrange for transportation to Canada for Brad and Amy. She urged Brad to go public with his information about Project Noah, but he did not want to be seen as a traitor. He agreed to give Lacey all of his information, if she would go public with it. The newest member of the Project Noah experiment, Anthony, began to have telepathic conversations with Tim and Katherine. They tried to get him to drink blood, but he refused. That night, Brad explained his job and background to Amy. The federal agents tracking Brad found out that he was staying with Lacey in Wisconsin for the time being and they set out towards her residence. An overzealous scientist antagonized Katherine, which resulted in him getting attacked and killed by her. The federal agents arrived at Lacey’s house, while she and Brad quickly got prepared for a firefight. After Lacey was quickly killed, Brad decided to surrender himself. When Brad’s life was threatened, Amy surrendered herself as well.
