Choose a Side

Aziraphale went to Gabriel about his concerns, but Gabriel just reminded him to bring his flaming sword to battle. Suspicious of Aziraphale, Michael brought Gabriel photos of him and Crowley speaking with each other. Michael, Uriel, and Sandalphon pressured Aziraphale to choose a side but were ultimately summoned to battle. Aziraphale tried to appeal to a higher power but got the Metatron instead. The Metatron reminded Aziraphale that his purpose was not to stop the war but to win it. After he left but while the circle was still active, Shadwell arrived to exorcise Aziraphale, thinking he was a demon. Aziraphale accidentally stepped into the circle and ascended.

When Warlock Dowling turned up at the Fields of Meggido without the hell hound, Hastur and Ligur went after Crowley. Crowley used the holy water to kill Ligur and disappeared into his phone. Hastur went after him, and Crowley was able to trap him in his answering machine.

The Apocalypse in Tadfield

Good Omens Season 1 Episode 4 Recap

Adam’s dreams were coming true. A cruise ship had come across the city of Atlantis, aliens landed in Tadfield, and Nelson’s car crashed because of Tibetans in tunnels. These ideas came from the magazines Anathema had lent to Adam. Nelson’s arrival fulfilled one of Agnes Nutter’s prophecies. Anathema recognized him as Thou-Shalt-Not-Commit-Adultery Pulsifer’s descendant, but Nelson assured her he wasn’t there to kill a witch. After Anathema showed Nelson a prophecy about the Anti-Christ, he realized it was Adam

After the kids brought Nelson to Anathema’s, Adam started to turn as he grew more powerful. He wouldn’t let his friends go home, and they were getting scared. Adam proposed causing a devastating nuclear event to start the world over and levitated. When his friends objected, he disappeared their mouths.

As the apocalyptic storms swept through Tadfield, Anathema and Nelson hid under her bed. When Nelson confessed he had never kissed a girl, they started making out and having sex as the world crumbled around them.

Pollution and Death

Good Omens Season 1 Episode 4 Recap

The International Express man arrived in Sussex to a river filled with trash. Pestilence had retired, and Pollution replaced him. The delivery man brought Pollution a crown who put it on and left. He opened an envelope, the last item to be delivered. He wrote a goodbye note to his wife, Maud, and stepped out in traffic to be hit by a truck. Death came for him, and the delivery was a message: “Come and see.”
