She-Hulk Episode 7 introduced The Abomination’s gang, a series of unlikely characters looking for their identity.
Much to Marvel fans’ despair, “The Retreat” didn’t feature the much-anticipated Daredevil cameo. However, the show introduced some new and hilarious characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. More than that, they’re all following The Abomination’s suggestions to improve themselves. Don’t keep reading unless you have already watched the latest She-Hulk episode.
Who Is Part of The Abomination’s Gang?
She-Hulk Episode 7 introduced some new characters called El Águila, Man-Bull, Porcupine, Saracen, and Wrecker. Together, they form the so-called Abomination’s gang. While Abomination, a.k.a. Emil Blonsky, stressed that they’re using the word “gang” just to indicate a group of friends who are undergoing therapy together, the comics’ history says something else. The gang members’ past is just hinted at in the live-action show. What is not said is that most of them are real villains to all intents and purposes in the comics.

The real villains of the group are Man-Bull, Porcupine, and Wrecker. All of them have been involved in questionable actions since making their first appearance. Man-Bull, a.k.a. William Taurens, was a criminal even before undergoing the transformation into a man-bull. He locked horns with Daredevil on several occasions. Many villains have assumed the identity of Porcupine over the years, clashing with Ant-Man, the X-Men, and The Avengers, among others. Finally, Wrecker was a Thor villain.
The only one who doesn’t hide a past as a villain is El Águila, whose real name is Alejandro Montoya. In fact, the Spanish-born vigilante helped the poor of New York City more than once, often teaming up with Power Man and Iron Fist. His powers included generating electrostatic charges. She-Hulk doesn’t mention that, but El Águila is a mutant. Is he one of the first official mutants to join the MCU?

In the comics, Saracen is a real vampire and member of the group called the Ancient. He made his debut in 1999’s Blade: Vampire Hunter #1, joining characters like Nosferatu, Lamia, Maracen, Boy, and Verdelet. While his identity is pretty clear in the comics, the same can’t be said about his live-action adaptation. Abomination remarked that he only thinks he’s a vampire. In spite of his jokes about drinking blood, the reality might be different. Is Saracen a hint that Blade is joining the MCU soon?
