-Brought to you by El Rey Network’s From Dusk Till Dawn Season 2-
On August 25th, El Rey Network will present the second season of Robert Rodriguez’s “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.” Inspired by the 1996 cult classic film directed by Rodriguez and written by Quentin Tarantino, “From Dusk Till Dawn” Season 1 reimagined the story of Seth and Richie Gecko, the criminal brothers who kidnapped the Fuller family before getting locked in a bar filled with Mexican vampires for the fight of their lives.
For the first time ever, Rodriguez is expanding the From Dusk Till Dawn mythology beyond the original feature film. As the surviving characters are traveling on their own paths, a deadly new threat will emerge which will require the survivors to reconverge for a bloody confrontation!
Along the way, there will be four major new additions to the cast of the series. Ahead of the second season premiere, ComingSoon.net has assembled a look at the new cast members for “From Dusk Till Dawn” Season 2!
Esai Morales
Morales was most recently seen in HBO’s “The Brink” as President Julian Navarro, although he does have a few genre roles in his credits, including “Caprica,” “Jericho,” “The Twilight Zone,” and “Tales From The Crypt.” He is also well known for starring in La Bamba, “American Family,” and “Resurrection Blvd.”
In “From Dusk Till Dawn,” Morales will portray Lord Amancio Malvado, one of Nine Lords whose supernatural criminal syndicate was fed by the Titty Twister’s nightly blood banquet. Now, Lord Malvado will do anything in his power to reclaim Santanico Pandemonium (Eiza González) and once again place her under his control.
Danny Trejo
Trejo was actually in the original From Dusk Till Dawn film as Razor Charlie. He also reprised his role for two of the direct-to-video From Dusk Till Dawn sequels. But in the second season of the TV series, he will become The Regulator, the chief enforcer for Lord Malvado. The Regulator is far older than he appears, and he has terrifying powers, including the ability to see what his victims have seen… by eating their eyes!
Trejo is the star of Rodriguez’s Machete film series and a frequent collaborator with the director. His previous films include Desperado, Con Air, the Spy Kids movies, and A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas. On television, Trejo had memorable roles in “Breaking Bad” and “Sons of Anarchy.”
Briana Evigan
There’s a new woman in Seth Gecko’s life: Sonja Lam! As portrayed by Briana Evigan, Sonja is an expert forger and a tattoo artist whom Seth is forced to seek out early in the second season. She may even form an alliance with Seth, if their interests remain aligned…
Evigan is a modern day scream queen, with several horror films to her credit including Sorority Row, Burning Bright, Mother’s Day, The Devil’s Carnival, Alleluia!, Stash House, and Mine Games. She also co-starred in Step Up 2: The Streets.
Jeff Fahey
Jeff Fahey is a very familiar face to TV audiences, thanks to his roles on “Lost,” “Justified,” “The Marshal,” and several other guest appearances on television. Fahey has also starred in Robert Rodriguez’s Planet Terror and Machete.
For “From Dusk Till Dawn,” Fahey will play Uncle Eddie Cruickshank, the man who raised Richie and Seth Gecko into two of the most wanted criminals in the country. Uncle Eddie is largely out of the crime game when the season begins, as he brokers jobs to thieves for the Houston Syndicate. When Seth and Richie reenter his life, Uncle Eddie will get one more chance to revive his criminal ambitions.
The second season premiere of “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” will arrive on Tuesday, August 25 on the El Rey Network!
