The previous season of American Horror Story centered around a murderous cult that was partially responsible for the election of Donald Trump. Gut Punch
Inside of a hair salon, all of the patrons received an alert that a missile was coming and was going to level the city of Los Angeles. News repots confirmed that nuclear apocalypse was incoming. The city immediately turned into chaos. The bomb dropped and the city was destroyed. Mr. Gallant, a hairdresser, Coco, a billionaire, and Mallory, Coco’s assistant, all boarded a plane and escaped the blast.
Prior Knowledge
Before the bombing occurred, a teenage boy, Timothy, was accepted into UCLA, and then learned of the incoming bombing strike. A pair of government officials arrived at the family’s house and took Timothy as his genetic make-up is perfect for re-populating the earth. The officials forcibly took him from his home. He was transported to a facility run by The Collective. The bomb impacted, but the facility withstood it perfectly.
Two weeks later, Timothy and an imprisoned girl named Emily, were transported to a safe house in the wilderness. As the pair walked into the safe house, they observed mis-behaving subjects being executed. Inside the outpost, the pair met the leader, Wilhemina Venable. She introduced the pair to life within the outpost and the benefits of their genetic make-up.
What’s A Purple?
Timothy and Emily had been designated ‘Purples’, as they were the elites of the outpost. Venable let them know that they are not allowed to leave the building under any circumstances. Mr. Gallant, Mallory, and Coco were holed up in this outpost as well. The group sat down to dinner and Coco immediately complained about the quality of meal. During dinner, it was detected that Mr. Gallant had been contaminated with radiation. He was taken to the disinfecting chamber and treated.
A Winter Wonderland
Miriam Mead, Venable’s second-in-command, visited Venable in her private quarters. The two discussed they way they had faked the radiation incident from earlier. The group mistakenly believed that the Cooperative was coming to rescue them quickly. Unfortunately for them, after eighteen months, no one had come. Nuclear winter had overtaken the entire planet.
Venable announced that, due to a lack of supplies, they were going to be reduced to one meal per day. During the dinner, the alarm went off, announcing that there has been a breach of the perimeter. Michael Langdon, the director of the Cooperative, arrived at the outpost. He had been sent to evaluate which people were worthy of being transported to the Sanctuary, a higher security outpost.
