A new animated comedy from Facebook Watch titled Human Discoveries has found its two leads with Zac Efron and Anna Kendrick, per a report from Deadline. The upcoming series set to debut later this year. Both actors have a history with animation, Efron was the voice of Ted in The Lorax, and Kendrick voiced Princess Poppy in the Trolls franchise.
The series features a group of friends living at the dawn of human civilization. Of course, they’re the first to discover necessities like fire and the wheel. But, much more importantly, we’ll watch as they stumble onto humanity’s best, and worst, developments, including art, alcohol, fashion, racism, small talk and, much to their confusion, monogamy.

The two will be joined by Lamorne Morris (New Girl), Jillian Bell (Rough Night), Paul Scheer (Fresh Off the Boat), and Lisa Kudrow (Friends, The Comeback).
Behind the camera, Human Discoveries comes from Chris Bruno and David Howard Lee with ShadowMachine founders Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley (BoJack Horseman, Final Space, Pinocchio) and Ninja’s Runnin’ Wild co-producing. Both Efron and Kendrick will also serve as executive producers, as will Bruno, Lee, Campodonico, Bulkley, Kirk J. Rudell, Jason Barrett and Mike Simkin.
