It’s been 14 years since the final TV episode of the hit sketch series Little Britain aired on BBC and now co-creator and star Matt Lucas has revealed he and co-creator/co-star David Walliams have entered talks with Netflix to reboot the series, according to Deadline.

In an interview with BBC Radio 2, Lucas revealed that he and Walliams recently sat down with the streaming service about the possibility of making further episodes of the sketch series, saying that “it might happen.“
“We had a conversation with them a while ago and so the seed was planted in our head,” Lucas said. “We’d love to bring it back in some way and at some point. We’re both quite busy boys, but we’re speaking often and one idea was to maybe do a stage show of it again,” he said. “It will come back in some form, we’re just still figuring out what that will be.”
The interview came shortly after a story in the British tabloid The Sun claimed that Lucas and Walliams held a meeting with Netflix over the phone and were offered £3 million ($3.6 million) to revive the BBC Studios-produced series.

Little Britain, which debuted as a radio series on BBC Radio 4, ran for three televised seasons on the BBC from 2003-2006 followed by various specials including 2006’s two-part Little Britain Abroad, Little Britain USA and more. Netflix has streamed all episodes of the series and the specials in the United Kingdom.
