Earlier this month, Netflix debuted the third season of Castlevania; which is based on the hit video game series. Normally, Netflix waits at least a month before renewing a series. However, Castlevania appears to be an exception as Netflix has already ordered a fourth season. Via IGN, one of Netflix’s Twitter accounts shared the announcement with a clip of Isaac, the Devil Forgemaster, getting the news straight from Sir Mirror.

The third season of Castlevania ran for 10 episodes. However, it’s unclear how many episodes will be ordered for season 4. There was a 17-month gap between Castlevania‘s second and third seasons, so a similar gap may also separate seasons 3 and 4.

Castlevania was adapted by comic book scribe Warren Ellis, who has written all 22 episodes to date. Richard Armitage headlines the series as Trevor Belmont, with James Callis as Alucard, and Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades. Jaime Murray also stars as the vampire Carmilla, with Adetokumboh M’Cormack as Isaac, and Theo James as Hector. Additionally, the third season introduced Bill Nighy as Saint Germain, as well as Toru Uchikado and Rila Fukushima as Taka and Sumi.
