In a new look at the show from Entertainment Weekly, Hiddleston’s Loki can be seen in what looks to be the custody of the Time Variance Authority, and he doesn’t look too pleased. Alongside the image, Loki’s head writer Michael Waldron spoke about the role the group will play in the show.

“My pitch for the show was kind of a big, crazy, fun time adventure,” Waldron said. “The TVA is just an entirely new world [with] a new cast of characters, and that’s what felt most exciting about the show: building a new corner of the MCU.”
Loki tells the story of the Time Variant Authority, a bureaucratic organization tasked with making sure the flow of time stays safe and secure. After arresting Loki due to his escape from time in Avengers: Endgame, the agent of chaos will need to help the group as they fix various timelines in the universe.
Golden Globe winner Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Sophia Di Martino (Yesterday, Flowers, Into the Badlands), Owen Wilson (The Royal Tenenbaums), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Black Mirror: San Junipero), Cailey Fleming (The Walking Dead), and Richard E. Grant (Can You Ever Forgive Me?), Sasha Lane (American Honey) and Wunmi Mosaku (Lovecraft Country).
