Showtime has ordered an anthology series titled Super Pumped. The first season will star Joseph Gordon-Levitt as co-founder and former CEO of Uber, Travis Kalanick.
Initially set to be a limited series, Super Pumped comes from Billions co-creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The anthology series will now adapt stories from the business world that changed culture.

The first season will be based on the bestselling book Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber by Mike Isaac, who will also serve as an executive producer. It will tell the wild story of the rise of the ride-sharing app Uber, depicting the highs and lows of Silicon Valley. This includes the ultimate demise of Uber’s first CEO and co-founder Travis Kalanick (Gordon-Levitt), who was ousted in a boardroom coup.

Brian Koppelman, David Levien, and Beth Schacter will executive produce, write, and serve as showrunners for Super Pumped. Paul Schiff, Stephen Schiff, and Allyce Ozarski will also executive produce.
Gordon-Levitt is also set to star in the Apple Series Mr. Corman. The actor has starred in other popular shows like 3rd Rock from the Sun and Roseanne. He has also starred in a number of films such as Brick, (500) Days of Summer, Looper, and Inception. The most recent film he has appeared in is The Trial of the Chicago 7.
