The departure of Waller-Bridge from the upcoming streaming series comes after differences in “creative vision for the series” with Glover, per THR. The decision for the Solo: A Star Wars Story actress to exit is said to have been an amicable decision as there is no bad blood between the two stars. The series is still set for a 2022 release with Waller-Bridge’s role set to be recast.
Waller-Bridge has plenty of upcoming projects, so she won’t be without work. She’s currently filming Indiana Jones 5 alongside Harrison Ford. The actress is also executive producing Killing Eve, which is entering its final season on AMC and BBC.
