During a recent Disney investor earnings call, CFO Christine McCarthy has finally confirmed that the current release timeline for Ms. Marvel, confirming that the Disney+ series has indeed been pushed back to 2022.
However, unlike previous rumors of an early 2022 debut, MCU fans will have to wait a little bit more before they can meet Vellani’s Kamala Khan as Disney is currently planning to release the series during the fourth quarter of 2022 between July and September. In addition, it has also been revealed that Disney+’s upcoming Star Wars prequel series Andor is also slated to be released during the fourth quarter of next year.

Ms. Marvel will be led by newcomer Iman Vellani in her acting debut as Kamala Khan. The Disney+ series also marks the live-action debut of the fan-favorite Marvel character. It hails from head writer Bisha K. Ali, who is also serving as the showrunner with Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy attached as directors.
Following the series, Vellani’s Kamala Khan/ Ms. Marvel will next be seen in Nia DaCosta’s Captain Marvel sequel titled The Marvels starring opposite Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris, which is currently set for a February 17, 2023 release.

Disney+’s Andor features Diego Luna as he reprises his Rogue One role of Cassian Andor. The prequel is executive produced by showrunner Tony Gilroy, who previously directed the reshoots for Rogue One.
Set five years before the events of Rogue One, the series will follow the adventures of the titular hero rebel spy during the formative years of the Rebellion. It will explore tales of espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire.
