According to a recent report from Variety, The Winchesters, Walker: Independence, and a series set in the world of DC, Gotham Knights, were all given pilot orders by the company. A Zorro project from The CW was also given six additional scripts.
The Winchesters has been in development for almost a year, and will be told from the perspective of Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles), telling the story of how John and Mary Winchester met and fall in love. “Before Sam and Dean, there was John and Mary,” reads the logline. “Told from the perspective of narrator Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles), The Winchesters is the epic, untold love story of how John met Mary and how they put it all on the line to not only save their love, but the entire world.”
Walker: Independence will see Jared Padalecki serve as executive producer, and will follow Abby Walker, a Bostonian whose husband is murdered before her eyes. The series will take place in the late 1800s, and will see Walker on her quest for revenge. “On her quest for revenge, Abby crosses paths with Hoyt Rawlins, a lovable rogue in search of purpose,” reads the synopsis for the show. “Abby and Hoyt’s journey takes them to Independence, Texas, where they encounter diverse, eclectic residents running from their own troubled pasts and chasing their dreams.”

Gotham Knights comes from Batwoman writers Natalie Abrams, James Stoteraux, and Chad Fiveash, with Stoteraux and Fiveash executive producing the series. Not too much is known about the series, but it will be based on the characters created for DC by Bob Kane and Bill Finger. The series is said to not be a spin-off of Batwoman, nor will it tie into the upcoming Gotham Knights video game developed by WB Games Montreal.
