As production continues on the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series in Vancouver, new behind-the-scenes photos and videos from the set of Disney+’s highly-anticipated fantasy series have finally arrived online. This comes after the most recent blog post from author and executive producer Rick Riordan in which he confirmed that the TV adaptation’s filming is still on track.

The Percy Jackson set photos and videos, which you can check out below, offer us a new look at Walker Scobell’s Percy, Leah Jeffries’ Annabeth, and Aryan Simhadri’s Grover.
“As I predicted, our main trio is so incredible that it’s now very difficult for me to imagine Percy, Annabeth, and Grover without seeing Walker, Leah, and Aryan,” Riordan said on the blog where he also continued to praise and tease the leading trio’s portrayal of the beloved characters. “They are owning these characters in the best possible way. You will see what I mean when you watch the show. If you were a doubter, you will doubt no longer. But for now, you’ll have to take my word for it.”

“The live-action series tells the fantastical story of the titular 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus,” reads the synopsis.
The series currently stars Walker Scobell (The Adam Project) as the titular demi-god, Leah Sava Jeffries (Empire) as Annabeth Chase, Aryan Simhadri (Disney’s Spin) as Grover Underwood, Jason Mantzoukas (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) as Mr. D, Dior Goodjohn (Head of the Class) as Clarisse La Rue, Charlie Bushnell (Diary of a Future President) as Luke Castellan, Virginia Kull (Big Little Lies) as Sally Jackson, Glynn Turman (Fargo) as Chiron, Megan Mullally (Will & Grace) as Mr. Dodds, Olivea Morton as Nancy Bobofit, and Timm Sharp (Briarpatch) as Gabe Ugliano.

The Percy Jackson and the Olympians Disney+ series is being directed by James Bobin from a screenplay co-written by Riordan and Jon Steinberg (The Old Man), based on Riordan’s first installment of his hit Camp Half-Blood Chronicles book series.
Executive producers are Riordan, Bobin, Steinberg, Dan Shotz, Rebecca Riordan, Bert Salke, Monica Owusu-Breen, Jim Rowe, and Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, and D.J. Goldberg. 20th Television is set as the studio.
