All three Chicago shows will crossover again this season
Producer Derek Haas, the creator of Chicago Fire, took to Twitter to announce that all three of NBC’s Chicago shows will crossover again this season. Chicago Fire will be first, then the drama that starts there will overlap with what happens on both Chicago Med and Chicago PD. Uber-producer Dick Wolf has a hand in all three series, while Haas serves as a producer on each of the Chicago-based dramas.
“BREAKING NEWS: our second episode of the season is going to be a three way crossover with Chicago Fire leading the way,” Haas wrote, complete with an Eleven reaction GIF.

Chicago Fire is an edge-of-your-seat view into the lives of everyday heroes committed to one of America’s noblest professions. For the firefighters, rescue squad and paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51, no occupation is more stressful or dangerous, yet so rewarding and exhilarating. These courageous men and women are among the elite who forge headfirst into danger when everyone else is running the other way and whose actions make the difference between life and death.

In addition to Haas, much of the creative team Chicago Fire also works on Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med, which has created a ready-made shared Chicago-verse for the small screen. The three series had previously crossed over in January of 2016. In addition to these three, there has been some additional crossover with Law & Order: SVU and the short-lived Chicago Justice, which was canceled after just one season.
