Years & Years Trailer: First Look at Emma Thompson’s New HBO Drama

HBO has released the official trailer for their upcoming British drama titled Years & Years, giving us a preview of how a family’s life can instantly be affected by the drastic changes in politics, economy and technological advances. Starring Academy Award-winning actress Emma Thompson (Howards End, Late Night) as the controversial politician Vivienne Rook, you can check out the video below.

Years & Years is an epic saga that takes an ordinary family and catapults them through the next 15 years. As society changes, faster than ever, the Lyons will experience everything we hope for in the future, and everything we fear. They’ll fall in and out of love, and grow old, fall apart and come back together, while constantly looking forward.

The series will also feature Rory Kinnear (Black Mirror) as Stephen Lyons, T’Nia Miller as Celeste Bisme-Lyons, Russell Tovey (Quantico) as Daniel Lyons, Jessica Hynes (Spaced) as Edith Lyons, Ruth Madeley as Rosie Lyons, Anne Reid (The Mother) as Muriel Deacon, Dino Fetscher (Paranoid) as Ralph Cousins, Jade Alleyne (The Lodge) as Ruby Bisme-Lyons, and Maxim Baldry (Mr. Bean’s Holiday) as Viktor Goraya.

The series was created and written by Russell T. Davies. It is executive produced by Simon Cellan Jones, Michaela Fereday, Lucy Richer and Nicola Shindler with Karen Lewis serving as a producer. The drama is production by BBC One, HBO and Canal+.

Years & Years will make its U.S. debut on June 24.
