Grown-ish is a half-hour comedy tackling current social issues and complexities facing both students and administrators. It follows Dre and Bow Johnson’s eldest daughter Zoey (Yara Shahidi), as she tries to navigate the ins and outs of college life at Cal U. Given the protagonist’s younger age, the show allows itself to look at contemporary social and political issues through a young, idealistic lens.
The series stars Yara Shahidi, Trevor Jackson, Francia Raisa, Emily Arlook, Jordan Buhat, Deon Cole, Charles Telphy, Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, and Luka Sabbat.

Earlier this year, it has been revealed that the main series Black-ish has been renewed for its eighth and final season, while its second spinoff series Mixed-ish had been officially cancelled after two seasons.
