NBC has dropped a brand new This Is Us featurette for the sixth and final season of the acclaimed drama, which just premiered its first episode titled “The Challenger.” The series is scheduled to return next Tuesday on January 11, with the second episode of the season titled “One Giant Leap.”
The video, which you can check out below, brings fans to the cast’s emotional last first day on set. It features commentaries from Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, and more as they remember their time on the show and how bittersweet it is for them to say goodbye to their characters and friends.

This Is Us is a refreshingly honest and provocative series that follows a unique ensemble whose paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways. It centers around the Pearson family which are portrayed by Milo Ventimiglia as Jack Pearson, Mandy Moore as Rebecca Pearson, Justin Hartley as Kevin Pearson, Chrissy Metz as Kate Pearson, and Sterling K. Brown as Randall Pearson.

Joining the cast are Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, Jon Huertas, Alexandra Breckenridge, Eris Baker, Lyric Ross, Asante Blackk, and Caitlin Thompson.
This Is Us is written and created by Dan Fogelman, who also serves as an executive producer along with Don Todd. Jess Rosenthal, Charlie Gogolak, and directors Ken Olin, John Requa, and Glenn Ficarra. The series is produced by 20th Television.

For its first season run in 2016, it received three major Golden Globe nominations including Best Television Series – Drama and a Best Supporting Actress for both Moore and Metz’s performances. As for its second season, Sterling K. Brown has won his first Golden Globe for Best Actor in Television Series Drama along with Ron Cephas Jones who won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor. In 2019, the series has also won a SAG award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
