Hulu has revealed the Conversations with Friends trailer for BBC Three’s newest Sally Rooney adaptation, starring Alison Frances and Joe Alwyn. The video, which you can check out below, highlights a complicated love affair involving four people which includes a married couple and a pair of exes. The series is scheduled to make its debut on May 15.

“It follows Frances, a 21-year-old college student, as she navigates a series of relationships that force her to confront her own vulnerabilities for the first time,” reads the synopsis.
Based on Sally Rooney’s 2017 debut novel, Conversations With Friends will be led by newcomer Alison Oliver as Frances, Sasha Lane (Hearts Beat Loud, Loki) as Bobbi, Joe Alwyn (The Favourite) as Nick and Jemima Kirke (Girls) as Melissa.

Conversations with Friends is executive produced by Element Pictures’ Ed Guiney, Emma Norton, and Andrew Lowe along with Rooney and BBC’s Tommy Bulfin. Oscar nominee Lenny Abrahamson is directing and serving as an executive producer, with Catherine Magee and Jeanie Igoe set as producers. It is an Element Pictures production for Hulu and BBC Three.
