Only Murders in the Building Trailer and Posters Herald Hulu Return This Summer

The unlikely grouping of Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez was a hit for Hulu, as Only Murders in the Building is building up to its second season on June 28. In preparation, the show released a trio of character posters depicting the three tenants who started a podcast about a neighbor’s death and wound up in the middle of a growing conspiracy.

Hulu also released a new trailer for the mystery-comedy, featuring a preview of new guest spots from Amy Schumer and Shirley MacLaine alongside returning favorites. Those who still haven’t gotten around to the first season should be warned that the story very much picks up from where the last season left off, although the jokes are still funny regardless of spoilers.

Hulu initially renewed Only Murders in the Building in September of last year, a month after the show finished up its first season. It’s part of a growing library of critically acclaimed original shows for the service, and it’s close to the top of that list. In a Vulture interview in October, Hulu Originals president Craig Erwich said that it was the most-watched comedy ever on Hulu “by a good measure.”

Only Murders in the Building ends off a month full of interesting premieres for Hulu’s original lineup. On June 2, the third season of The Orville blasts off from Fox to become a streaming exclusive. A day later, romcom Fire Island becomes ready for streaming, and that’s followed by the third season of Love, Victor on June 15. June 17 sees the debut of the sex comedy Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, and June 23 will see the premiere of the new FX-produced series The Bear.
