Virgin River Season 6 Trailer Previews The Run-Up to Jack & Mel’s Wedding

The Virgin River Season 6 trailer previews the leadup to Jack (Martin Henderson) and Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) ‘s wedding ahead of the show’s return to Netflix on December 19.

The upcoming installment takes place against the backdrop of the couple’s spring wedding, promising fresh twists, an increase in love triangles, plus uncovered secrets about Mel’s father. The latter development is part of a flashback episode, which would take place in the 1970s.

What happens in the Virgin Season 6 trailer?

The trailer begins with Jack putting on his wedding suit. Mel knocks on his door, asking if he’s ready, and he looks straight ahead. The trailer then flashes to all the residents of the town, with Mel saying that she can’t wait to get married. Although the nearly two-minute trailer offers up a preview of what all the Virgin River characters are up to, including some surprising hookups, the focus is on Mel and Jack as they’re about to walk down the aisle.

The trailer also briefly spotlights Mel’s parents as Happy Death Day star Jessica Rothe plays Mel’s late mother Sarah. Everett, Mel’s father, is played by Hollyoaks actor George Kerr. It has been previously reported that Netflix is considering a prequel series that would focus on Mel’s parents, telling the story of how they fell in love. It’s also been confirmed that Virgin River will return for season 7.

Along with Henderson and Breckenridge, the cast includes Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Kai Bradbury, Kandyse McClure, and Mark Ghanime.
