New teaser trailers for 1923 Season 2 set a premiere date for the return of the Yellowstone prequel series.
Created by Taylor Sheridan, 1923 is a Western drama series that serves as a prequel to Paramount’s extremely popular Yellowstone show. The first season premiered in December 2022 and was then renewed for a sophomore outing in February 2023.

When will 1923 Season 2 premiere?
1923 Season 2 will premiere on February 23, 2025, on Paramount+. New episodes will continue dropping on a weekly basis.
The series stars Harrison Ford as Jacob Dutton, Helen Mirren as Cara Dutton, Brandon Sklenar as Spencer Dutton, Julia Schlaepfer as Alexandra, Jerome Flynn as Banner Creighton, Darren Mann as Jack Dutton, Brian Geraghty as Zane Davis, Aminah Nieves as Teonna Rainwater, Michelle Randolph as Elizabeth “Liz” Strafford, Timothy Dalton as Donald Whitfield, and more.
“In the second season of 1923, a cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob (Ford) and Cara (Mirren) back at Dutton ranch,” the official synopsis reads, per Variety. “With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer (Sklenar) embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra (Schlaepfer) sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.”
Sheridan serves as an executive producer on 1923 alongside David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Ben Richardson, Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox.
“It was previously announced that Paramount Network will air Season 1 of 1923 following new episodes of Yellowstone beginning on Dec. 8,” Variety’s article notes. “Episode 2 of the prequel will air on Dec. 15, with two episodes airing for the following three weeks.”
The first season of 1923 is also currently available to stream on Paramount+.
