Netflix has shared the Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 trailer for the next installment of its dark fantasy animated series, which serves as a spin-off to the original show of the same name. It is currently scheduled to start streaming on January 16, 2025.

What happens in the Castlevania: Nocturne Season 2 trailer?
The video highlights the return of fan-favorite character Alucard, as he teams up with his old friends Trevor Belmont and Sypha’s descendant Richter Belmont. The trailer also provides fans with a preview of Season 2’s action-packed sequences. During an interview with Tudum, showrunner Kevin Kolde promised fans to expect “the biggest, craziest Castlevania fight scene ever.”
“Now joined by the legendary Alucard, Richter Belmont and his band of vampire hunters are in a desperate race against time,” reads the show’s Season 2 logline. “Erzsebet Báthory, the Vampire Messiah, who already seems invincible, seeks the full power of the goddess Sekhmet so she can plunge the world into endless darkness and terror.”
Castlevania: Nocturne is created and executive produced by showrunners Clive Bradley and Kevin Kolde, based on Konami’s 1993 Castlevania: Rondo of Blood video game. The spin-off features the voices of Edward Bluemel as Richter, Pixie Davies as Maria Renard, Thuso Mbedu as Annette, Natassja Kinski as Tera, Sydney James Harcourt as Edouard, Zahn McClarnon as Olrox, and Franka Potente as Erzsebet Báthory. The project hails from Powerhouse Animation, with Sam Deats and Adam Deats directing.
