Alongside LaBeouf, Talia Shire (The Godfather), Jason Schwartzman (The French Dispatch), Grace Vanderwaal (Stargirl), Kathryn Hunter (The Tragedy of Macbeth), and James Remar (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) are the newest additions to a cast that already features some huge names, including Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, and Aubrey Plaza.
Following claims of sexual battery, assault, and numerous other allegations, LaBeouf has recently come out and said that he is sober and hoping to improve his life, as well as be what he calls “a billboard for a principled way of living.” His upcoming credits include a role in Abel Ferrara’s 2022 film Padre Pio, as well as Dito Montiel’s drama After Exile.
Talia Shire, Coppola’s sister, is no stranger to working with her brother, having starred in both The Godfather and The Godfather Part II, the latter of which earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress nomination. Jason Schwartzman is set to star in Wes Anderon’s upcoming film Asteroid City and will also appear in the animated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse film, as well as the prequel film The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
Vanderwaal is a musician and actress, with her most notable role coming in the Disney+ film Stargirl, as well as its sequel Hollywood Stargirl. Kathryn Hunter is a legendary stage actress and Oliver Award winner, who is set to appear in the upcoming sci-fi romance film Poor Things from Yorgos Lanthimos, as well as the recently announced The Front Room for the Eggers Brothers.
James Remar has also had a long and distinguished career in Hollywood, starring in The Warriors, Miracle on 34th Street, Sex and the City, and in numerous other films and television series. His next film will be Megalopolis, although he did most recently appear in The Rookie and Black Lightning.

Megapolis has been Coppola’s passion project since the 1980s. Set in modern-day America, it reportedly centers around the aftermath of a devastating disaster, where an architect wants to rebuild New York City as a utopia. The 82-year-old filmmaker has confirmed that the story will get to explore timely themes while also featuring Roman epic influences.
