A24 is partnering with filmmakers Max Eggers (The Lighthouse) and Sam Eggers (Olympia) — professionally known as The Eggers Brothers — to produce their directorial debut, the psychological horror film The Front Room.

The film will star Grammy Award-winning musician and actress Brandy Norwood, Olivier Award-winning actress Kathryn Hunter (The Tragedy of Macbeth), and Tony Award-winning actor Andrew Burnap (Snow White), with Neal Huff (Spotlight) also set to join the cast. The Front Room will be written by The Eggers Brother, with A24 producing alongside Lucan Toh, Babk Anvari, and Bryan Sonderman of Two & Two Pictures.
The horror film is based on a short story written by Susan Hill and will follow a young, newly pregnant couple that is forced to take in an ailing stepmother who has been estranged from the family for some time.

Prior to their directorial debut together, Max Eggers most recently co-wrote the script for The Lighthouse, which his other brother Robert Eggers directed. Sam Eggers has also worked with Robert in the past, having been a production assistant on The Witch before co-writing Olympia, a documentary about actress Olympia Dukakis.
