Twinkling Watermelon aired a new episode on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 8:50 p.m. KST on tvN and Viki. The series follows the story of a CODA (child of deaf adult) student and his journey to go back in time and form the band Watermelon Sugar. He also meets a few highschoolers, two of whom are his parents from the past. So far, the drama has been significantly popular among viewers because of its interesting storyline.
Episode 13 of Twinkling Watermelon showed what fans had been anticipating for long. After realizing his feelings for Cheong-Ah (Shin Eun-Soo), Yi Chan (Choi Hyun-Wook) finally confessed to her by dedicating a song through sign language. The two officially announced they are a couple. Aside from them, Eun-Gyeol (Ryeoun) and Eun-Yu (Seol In-Ah) also announced their relationship.

Episode 13 of Twinkling Watermelon resumed the events from the previous episode. Eun-Gyeol and Eun-yu arrive at the latter’s house from the airport. The former discovers multiple hints that raise his suspicions about Eun-Yu’s identity. From finding a suitcase with a different name to finding her airpods, everything made Eun-Gyeol more curious about her.
The following day, Eun-Yu meets Yi Chan and apologizes for leaving the festival early. The duo talk about her feelings for Eun-Gyeol and decide to remain good friends, resolving their differences. By this time, Yi Chan already developed feelings for Cheong-Ah but didn’t know how to connect with her after their previous misunderstanding.
The Watermelon Sugar band faces a brand new challenge. Their school principal asks them to participate in a music competition. However, they will have to sing their own compositions, which the band had never attempted before. Thus, the band plans on going on a music retreat to help them find the inspiration for their song.
Meanwhile, Eun-Gyeol and Yi Chan also resolve their differences. Later on, Yi Chan rescues Cheong-Ah from a couple of boys who tried to attack her. He was following her when she was returning home and saved her just in time. However, things take an ugly turn afterwards, which subsides soon.
Yi Chan pretends to be Eun-Gyeol and faxes Cheong-Ah to come to the rehearsal room. Once she reaches there, he begins signing in sign language and confesses his feelings towards her. Eun-Gyeol secretly watches happily as his parents fall in love, thereby completing his mission. The two couples, Eun-Gyeol and Eun-Yu, and Yi Chan and Cheong-Ah, join the rest of the band.
By the end of the Twinkling Watermelon episode, the band is on their way to the music camp when both Eun-Gyeol and Eun-Yu receive calls from the Master. The latter states that their time travel journey has come to an end, following which they must return to the present. Both Eun-Gyeol and Eun-Yu find each other with phones, indicating that the two might have possibly identified each other as time travelers.
