Twinkling Watermelon will air two new episodes this week, and the story will only get more exciting from here onwards. The K-drama revolves around Eun-gyeol, a CODA (child of a deaf adult) student with a gift for music. He travels back in time to 1995 and meets other students who are, in fact, his parents back when they were students.
tvN released the photos for Twinkling Watermelon episode 9, which previews Yi Chan (played by Choi Hyun-Wook) and Eun-Gyeol (played by Ryeoun) butting heads in an intense fight. The previous episode teased the reason behind the fight, which was Eun Se-Kyung (played by Seol In-Ah). More glimpses of Eun-Gyeol and Se-Kyung’s connection will come to light as that of Yi Chan and Cheong-Ah (played by Shin Eun-Soo).
Twinkling Watermelon episode 9: Will Choi Hyun-Wook and Ryeoun fight over Seol In-Ah?
Episode 8 of Twinkling Watermelon saw Eun-Gyeol determined to get his parents, Yi Chan and Cheong-Ah, together. He finds out that Cheong-Ah is his mother and is determined to help her learn sign language and communicate better with people. Meanwhile, Yi Chan recovers from his injury and eventually finds Eun-Gyeol with the help of Se-Kyung.
The episode ended with a dramatic but fun twist. Eun-Gyeol is welcomed back into the band by Yi Chan, who also apologizes to the former for his actions previously. When he asks Eun-Gyeol to join the band again, the latter refuses and confesses to being in love with Se-Kyung. Yi Chan, who also has a crush on Se-Kyung, hits him as they end up fighting with each other.
However, what Yi Chan doesn’t know is that Eun-Gyeol is his son from the future and wants him to be with Cheong-Ah, who will be his wife. By confessing his love for Se-Kyung, Eun-Gyeol hopes to unite his parents, Yi Chan and Cheong-Ah, who have also developed a deep friendship.
The preview trailer for the upcoming episode teases connections forming between Eun-Gyeol and Se-Kyung. The former demands an answer to his confession and spends quality time with Se-Kyung. Eun-Gyeol also apologizes to Yi Chan while Se-Kyung joins school again. Meanwhile, Yi Chan finds a portrait of himself that is drawn by Cheong-Ah.

Twinkling Watermelon will air two new this week. Episode 9 will air on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 8:50 p.m. KST. The following episode will be showcased on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the same time on tvN. The episodes will also be available to stream on Viki.
