Bitter Sweet Hell Releases Kim Nam-Hee’s First Look as Choi Jae-Jin

Bitter Sweet Hell unveiled a new set of pictures of Kim Nam-Hee on their official social media platform. MBC’s upcoming drama revolves around a celebrity psychological counselor, Noh Young-Won (Kim Hee-Sun), and her mother-in-law and a mystery novel writer, Hong Sa-Gang (Lee Hye-Young). Nam-Hee is playing Hee-Sun’s husband in the drama.

When one of Young-Won’s cases starts to spiral in all the wrong directions, possibly threatening her family, she teams up with her mother-in-law to save the day. This dark comedy is already creating quite a buzz all around.

Bitter Sweet Hell: Kim Nam Hee looks confident as Kim Hee-Sun’s husband

MBC dropped the first look of Kim Nam-Hee, who is going to play Choi Jae-Jin, the son and husband of the leading ladies. In the drama Bitter Sweet Hell, Nam-Hee is portraying a surgeon’s role who lives in his wife’s shadow. After walking on the path decided by his mother, Hong Sa-Gang (Hye-Young), he thinks he will have some freedom after marrying Young-Won. But he finds himself a part of Noh Young-Won’s world. He tries his best to balance his roles, but it seems he is finding it quite difficult.

In the recently released stills from Bitter Sweet Hell, Kim Nam-Hee looks confident while giving his acceptance speech. But in the next photo, he looks troubled as he stands in front of a mirror wearing his operating apron. Is there more to his story? Does he not like being a plastic surgeon? What problems does he have, even though he is successful in his field?

In another set of pictures, Kim Nam-Hee exudes a happy expression as Choi Jae-Jin. The images and trailers are making viewers curious about the show. Explaining why he chose to do this drama, he said to IMBC, “I found it appealing that Choi Jae-Jin was such a different character from the other characters I’ve played up until now. I was intrigued by the character of Jae Jin, who has never lived his life according to his own desires, and I wanted to take on this new acting challenge.”

Bitter Sweet Hell is to air on May 24, 2024, at 9:50 p.m. KST on MBC.
