Following its return yesterday, HBO has dropped a brand new House of the Dragon Season 2 trailer, teasing viewers what to expect from the latest installment’s remaining seven episodes.

What happens in the House of the Dragon Season 2 trailer?
The promo trailer for Season 2 highlights the aftermath of the “Blood and Cheese” moment from the the premiere episode, which was Team Black’s retaliation for the death of Lucerys Velaryon during the Season 1 finale. Tensions between the two teams will continue to intensify in the upcoming episodes, as they both try to find ways to outsmart each other in order to win the Iron Throne.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, House of the Dragon chronicles the rise and the downfall of the Targaryens — the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria. The Game of Thrones spin-off is created and executive produced by Martin and showrunner Ryan Condal. It stars Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Graham McTavish, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Matthew Needham, Bill Patterson, Gavin Spokes, Wil Johnson, John Macmillan, Savannah Steyn, and Theo Nate.
