New A Simple Favor motion posters are not what you think

Lionsgate has released four new moving posters (via People) for their upcoming thriller film A Simple Favor starring Pitch Perfect‘s Anna Kendrick, The Age of Adaline star Blake Lively and Crazy Rich Asians actor Henry Golding. The cheeky posters are titled “Our Domestic Bliss Series” which are director Paul Feig’s “way of having fun with the audience’s expectations” of the film. Check out the posters below!

A Simple Favor centers around Stephanie (Anna Kendrick), a mommy vlogger who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily’s (Blake Lively) sudden disappearance from their small town. Stephanie is joined by Emily’s husband Sean (Henry Golding) in this stylish thriller filled with twists and betrayals, secrets and revelations, love and loyalty, murder and revenge.

The film also stars Andrew Rannells (Big Mouth), Linda Cardellini (The Founder), Jean Smart (Legion), and Rupert Friend (Homeland). It is directed by Paul Feig (2016’s Ghostbusters) from the screenplay written by Jessica Sharzer. The story is based on the novel of the same name by Darcy Bell. Feig produces the film alongside Jessie Henderson.

The film will be released in theaters on September 14.
