The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Animation’s upcoming anime, has added more acclaimed actors to its voice cast.

Joining the forthcoming film’s cast are Brian Cox (Succession), Gaia Wise (A Walk in the Woods), and Miranda Otto, who played Éowyn in the Lord of the Rings series. Otto will reprise her role as Éowyn to narrate the film.
Also included in the cast are Lorraine Ashbourne (Bridgerton), Yazdan Qafouri (I Came By), Benjamin Wainwright (World on Fire), Laurence Ubong Williams (Gateway), Shaun Dooley (The Witcher), Michael Wildman (Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw), Jude Akuwudike (Beasts of No Nation), Bilal Hasna (Sparks), and Janine Duvitski (Benidorm).

“The ‘Lord of the Rings’ films took Tolkien’s masterwork to new cinematic heights and inspired a generation,” said Warner Bros. Pictures Group Chairman Toby Emmerich. “It’s a gift to be able to revisit Middle-earth with many of the same creative visionaries and the talented Kenji Kamiyama at the helm. This will be an epic portrayal unlike anything audiences have ever seen.” The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim currently has a theatrical release date of April 12, 2024.
