The release date for the anime adaptation of the Chained Soldier manga series was delayed to 2024, which greatly disappointed the fans. However, the new year is just around the corner, and the series has announced an official release date for the series.
Takahiro and Yohei Takemura’s Chained Soldier manga first debuted back in 2019. It has gained massive success since then and only continued to increase its international following ever since.

Fans have been throwing rocks into the water, speculating about the release date for the series. Finally, after months of waiting, Tokyo MX has revealed that The Chained Soldier is due to premiere on January 4.
The entertainment company Pony Canyon posted the trailer for the series on YouTube. It provides a great insight into the series and the main character, Yuki. He is a third-year student at Kaminoge High School and joins the chief of the Anti-Demon Corps to fight monsters.
The trailer also boasts the exquisite animation and soundtrack for the series, which will be directed by Junji Nishimura (Ranma ½ Nettōhen, Glasslip) and Goro Kuji at studio Seven Arcs. Yasuhiro Nakanishi is undertaking the composition (Kaguya-sama: Love is War, My Love Story With Yamada-kun at Lv 999), and Hiroyuki Yoshii handles character designs. The music is being taken care of by Kohta Yamamoto (86 Eighty-Six, Attack on Titan: The Final Season).
The plot for the series revolves around an alternate version of Japan where monsters called Shuuki roam the streets. Also, a Magical Peach Tree grants special powers to women. Yuuki Wakura, a recent high school graduate, accidentally enters a monster portal. He stumbles upon a woman named Kyouka Uzen, who acquired powers after consuming these peaches. She is the monster-hunting commander of the 7th squad of the Demon Defense Force.
Kyouka’s powers are cool as she enslaves Shuuki to fight other Shuuki. However, the duo gets cornered, and their only way out is if Kyouka enslaves him. Together, they join forces and fight against the mysterious monsters to save the world.
