Blue Lock Chapter 254 Spoilers: Bastard Munchen vs. Paris X Gen Continues

With Blue Lock chapter 254 right around the corner, the chapter’s raw scans, leaks, and spoilers reveal that the on-field confrontation between the Bastard Munchen and Paris X Gen will continue in the upcoming chapter.

The chapter is titled “Self Type/World Type,” which is the upshot of Isagi’s profound dive into the human psychology of ego. As per fans, though the context in which the character talks about desire and ego is limited to the field, his psychoanalysis is a major focus of the chapter.

The chapter begins with the Bastard Munchen members changing their formation from the previous 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1 after Shidou’s goal in the previous installment. Hence, Rensuke Kunigami is positioned as the Defensive Midfielder along with Raichi, and Kaiser takes the role of the only striker in the forefront.

The focus briefly shifts to Nanase and Tokimitsu, who contemplate Shidou’s goal. Moreover, they agree with each other in believing that they must assist Rin in his goal of becoming a hero. Then, Rin throws shade on Shidou’s hair color, following which the game finally commences.

The chapter then takes readers into Isagi’s inner world, wherein he bifurcates between the Self-Type players and the World-Type players. He makes this division while considering the possibility of becoming the best performer in the match.

As per Isagi, the Self-Type players are those who play according to their self-interest. Their sole motive is to show off to the world how brilliant they are. The World Type, however, has an outward approach, making them analytical towards their environment.

In retrospect, Isagi believes that Shidou and Bachira, among others, are the Self-Type players. On the other hand, he believes Karasu, Hiori, Reo, and himself to possess a World-Type ego. However, Isagi doesn’t imply that one type is better. On the contrary, he believes he needs to gather more intel on which type works the best. He also talks about how he needs to know which player possesses which type of ego.

Blue Lock chapter 254: Kunigami confronts Shidou amid the match

The focus then shifts back to the field, where Zantetsu charges the ball at Ness, only for Ness to disappoint by missing the ball. Hiori then steals the ball, which is then stolen from him by Charles. The latter realizes that Hiori has Meta Vision, a feat that Hiori currently uses to aim the ball at Shidou.

However, Kunigami comes into the picture and obstructs Shidou from acquiring the ball through a head pass. Kunigami seems bent on taking revenge against Shidou because he was responsible for Kunigami’s elimination in Blue Lock’s selection. However, the latter fails to recognize Kunigami.

In response, Kunigami says that he is the mediocre hero whose life Shidou had ruined. With this, the chapter ends as it sets up the stage for two major confrontations: one between Charles and Hiori and another between Kunigami and Shidou.
