The new script pleases the cast members
After the script is completed, the actors read it and express their satisfaction. Everyone seems happy with the new script, including Akane, who found the previous script disappointing. But they realize it calls for added pressure on the actors. In that, their performance would reflect the overall quality of the play.
While rehearsing, everyone performs satisfactorily, except Aqua and Melt. Later, Aqua sits alone, but Akane consoles him. She asks him to take it easy only to be interrupted by Kana.
Kana urges Aqua to execute emotional acting. However, she understands how Aqua is inexpressive, leading to his struggles. Aqua agrees with her and asks how she exudes an emotional performance.
Kana says she remembers moments from her life and gives him advice that works well for most actors. In that, she asks him to imagine his mother’s death. Additionally, she asks him to recall happy memories to display joy while acting.
Unfortunately, Kana’s advice triggers Aqua’s trauma as he remembers Ai’s death. Although he recalls pleasant memories, the repentance of being unable to save Ai overwhelms him, leading to a panic attack. Hence, he requests to leave rehearsals, and the team advises Akane to take care of him as his girlfriend.
Akane learns about Aqua’s connection to Ai
Akane suggests calling Aqua’s kin, but he stops her. However, Gotanda takes charge and lets him rest in his apartment. Later, Gotanda confides in Akane about Aqua’s situation, telling her he has suffered a traumatic incident and has secretly been in counseling for the same. Sadly, he doesn’t seem to get past his trauma but avoids admitting it to anyone to not make them worried about him.
When Akane sits beside Aqua as he rests, he mumbles Ai’s name. Hence, Akane realizes Ruby and Aqua have some profound connection with Ai. Aqua wakes up and finds Akane in tears, indicating she has realized he is Ai’s son. Although the episode does not ascertain her realization, she hugs Aqua and promises to stand by him forever.
