C-drama Judge Dee’s Mystery has released a trailer teasing the upcoming episodes 19 and 20. It features prominent actor Zhou Yiwei in the lead role. The original broadcasting networks of the drama are CCTV and Youku. In this drama, Yiwei plays the role of Di Renjie, a businessman and country magistrate known for his sharp wit and ability to solve crimes. Mysteries follow him wherever he goes. Furthermore, he is a loyal admirer of Empress Wu Zetian (Zhong Chu Xi).
After the Empress dispatches him to a faraway remote town, he finds himself in the center of a conundrum and conspiracies. Di Renjie is a caring individual who cares for the well-being of the general public. He wants to uphold justice and serve the Empress. The drama is an adaptation of the novel series “Judge Dee” by Dutch novelist Robert Van Gulik. Li Yun Liang is the director of Judge Dee’s Mystery.
Judge Dee’s Mystery Ep 19-20 trailer showcases Zhou Yiwei jumping into the river to save himself
In the newly released trailer, Di Renjie is seen surrounded by enemy troops, continuing to shoot arrows at him. In a desperate attempt to save himself, he jumps into a river. Then, the scene is cut to the boy he rescued earlier. Interestingly, the boy reveals to Di Renjie that he saw a dead body in the jungle and mistook it for a zombie. Upon reaching the spot, he discovers a pool of blood. Following the trail of blood, he reaches an abandoned villa. Di Renjie is astonished when he finds a humanoid sculpture that is half bird and half human. Thus, he can feel conspiracies brewing.
