The ongoing fantasy C-drama Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact, starring Gong Jun and Yang Mi, released episode 11 on May 27, 2024. The episode focuses on Yuechu (Gong Jun) and Princess Bu Tai’s marriage. When Hong Hong (Yang Mi) notices Yuechu looking paler than usual, she gets worried about his health. Yuechu tries to brush this off by saying he is just weak due to the fight with Ren Feng. However, Hong Hong is able to catch his lie. She warns him to be careful, as soul backlash is not a trivial matter and can endanger a person’s life. Yuechu assures her that he is fine.
Further in the episode, Tushan Mei Mei reveals Lai’s identity to the spirit lord. He correctly recognizes him as the poison boy from the Nan kingdom. Shi Ji recalls her encounter with Lai, when she asked for cooperation but Lai arrogantly turned her down. Not only that, he even viciously attacked her. When Mei Mei hears about this, he uses this opportunity to manipulate Shi Ji into hurting Lai. But she is able to identify his trick. She doesn’t want to offend the Nan kingdom before settling the matter with Tushan.
Furthermore, Yuechu asks for Lai’s opinion on how to reverse soul backlash, it is a sign of the soul slowly destroying itself. Lai thinks the phenomenon is irreversible and can only be delayed if the host body lends some of its vitality to the soul. He estimates that the soul will be completely demolished within 10 days.
Meanwhile, Yuechu starts to get flashbacks of Dongfang Luo and Hong Hong and the bond they shared. It breaks his heart when he realizes how deeply Hong Hong cares for the soul. He misunderstands her and thinks that she protected him only to keep Luo’s soul safe.

From her family documents, Princess Bu Tai comes to know that the founder of her kingdom also fell in love with a spirit. Furthermore, he has buried the way to unbind the mother talisman in the ancestral hall. But the hall can only be accessed by newlyweds, and spirits will turn into dust as soon as they enter the premises. Thus, she decides to discuss this matter with Yuechu.
Yuechu and Bu Tai mutually agree to get married so they can unveil the way to save the spirits. Although their hearts break thinking about their spirit lovers, they will put their lives on the line to save them. But they decide to keep the reason secret, as the spirits would allow them to take such a big risk if they found out.
Furthermore, in the episode, Shi Ji and her army surround the spirit-master kingdom. In order to break Hong Hong’s spirit, Shi Ji orders Ren Feng to cut off water and food from the city. She plans to get the spirits to rebel against her.
When Hong Hong hears the news of Bu Tai and Yuechu’s alleged marriage, she refuses to believe it. But she does not want her associates to witness her heartache. She swallows her distress for the sake of her kingdom.
When Hong Hong asks Yuechu about his marriage, he confirms the news. Hong Hong objects to the marriage, but Yuechu turns down her request. When he hears that Hong Hong sees him as nothing more than a comrade, he feels wronged. He announces that he is in love with the princess and does not intend to leave her.
On the day of the wedding, Hong Hong watches from afar as Bu Tai and Yuechu get ready to take their wedding vows. She recalls the moments spent with Yuechu and rushes to stop him.
