The ongoing fantasy C-drama Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact, starring Gong Jun and Yang Mi, released episode 15 on May 29, 2024. The episode focuses on the battle between Hong Hong (Yang Mi) and Jin Renfeng.
The episode shows Lai and Yuechu (Gong Jun) finding Fu Cheng lying wounded in the middle of the forest. When Lai finds out who she is, he refuses to help her. Only after Yuechu mentions that she hates Renfeng as much as they do, and thanks to her secret messages, they have successfully evaded Renfeng, does he decide to aid her medical attention. But Fu Cheng is very weak, and the antidote does not seem to work on her.
Meanwhile, a dangerous fight breaks out between Hong Hong and Renfeng. He attacks her with all his power, but she successfully takes him down. As a sign of mercy, she lets him leave alive but warns that there won’t be a next time. But as soon as she turns away to leave, Renfeng uses his ultimate skill on her. His divine flames burn her surroundings. Although Hong Hong is initially shocked, she continues to fight bravely.
Yuechu and Lai notice the commotion from afar. Yuechu worries for Hong Hong’s safety and immediately leaves to help her.
Meanwhile, Hong Hong is slowly losing the battle. Renfeng, who has murderous intent, hurls attacks on Hong Hong. Even Rong Rong and Ya Ya come to Hong Hong’s rescue. They shield her while fighting Renfeng. But even their combined power struggles to keep up with Renfeng’s divine flames. After a while, they also get defeated.
When all hope is lost, Yuechu appears out of nowhere. Hong Hong urges him to run away, but he is not ready to leave her behind. He promises to protect her. He kisses him affectionately and, in the process, lends her his flames.

Although the process takes a toll on his health, Yuechu continues to transfer his power into Hong Hong’s body to revive her. He asks her not to be afraid of divine flames. Yuechu’s flames rejuvenate Hong Hong’s lost powers. She is able to defeat Renfeng easily. But due to the fatal wounds, Yuechu loses too much blood.
After returning to the Tushan residence, Hong Hong starts caring for Yuechu. She spends days treating him back to health. When the other spirits learn that Yuechu belongs to the Dongfang family, they start to resent him.
Hong Hong uses her own spirit powers to heal Yuechu’s body, fully aware that it would severely weaken her own body. After he wakes up, she scolds him for putting his own life in danger and makes him promise that he won’t repeat the action again.
After getting better, Yuechu starts to train hard and soon masters the sun flame. He asks Hong Hong if people from the Wangquan Villa came looking for him. He mentions that he doesn’t want to go back as those people are responsible for his aunt’s death. A long time ago, when Renfeng killed his own master and became extremely powerful, Yuechu’s aunt, Huaizhu, urged the aristocrats of the Yiqi alliance to unite against him. But unfortunately, they sided with Renfeng.
To save herself, she married into the powerful Wangquan Villa. But she passed away while giving birth. This is why Yuechu has so much hatred for the villa and its residents.
Furthermore, Yuechu gives shelter to Fu Cheng and promises to protect her from Renfeng. But his act enrages the elder of the clan.
