Sony’s State of Play from July 8, 2021 did contain a lot of Deathloop, but it also had a fair few indie games as well. Here’s everything from the July 8 State of Play.
Moss Book II
One of PSVR’s biggest platformers, Moss, is getting a sequel called Moss Book II. Polyarc showed off the first trailer for the newly announced game, which sees the return of Quill, the protagonist. No release date was given.
Arcadeageddon
Illfonic, the team behind the Friday the 13th multiplayer game and Predator: Hunting Grounds, revealed its next online shooter, called Arcadeageddon. It is an arcadey shooter that looks a little like Knockout City. It is out in Early Access today on PlayStation 5.
Tribes of Midgard
Tribes of Midgard had already been revealed, but Norsfell Games revealed a new walkthrough for the survival title.
F.I.S.T.
F.I.S.T. has been quiet for some time, giving Sony the opportunity to show off a new trailer for the Metroidvania. It’s also coming on September 7 on PS4 and PS5.
Hunter’s Arena: Legends
Sony gave a detailed look at Hunter’s Arena: Legends, a melee battle royale. PlayStation Plus users will be able to download it from August 3 to September 6.
Sifu
Sony unveiled Sifu earlier in the year and debuted a new trailer giving a deeper look into the aging protagonist. Death isn’t the end as your character just gets older. However, the game is coming in 2022.
Jett: The Far Shore
Yet another announced game, this new trailer for Jett: The Far Shore gave a little bit of a deeper insight into the game’s mechanics and the inspirations behind them. It’s still slated for 2021.
Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chonicles
A new trailer showed off the anime game, Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chonicles. It is coming out on October 15.
Lost Judgment
This new trailer gave another look at Sega’s upcoming Yakuza spin-off. Lost Judgment will launch worldwide on September 24.
Death Stranding: Director’s Cut
The first full trailer for the Death Stranding: Director’s Cut had quite bit in it, which you can read more about here. It is releasing on September 24.
Deathloop
As promised, Sony had a long gameplay demo of Deathloop, the upcoming shooter from Arkane.
