Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is just about to make the jump to new consoles through the Definitive Edition, but it’s also just about to make the jump to virtual reality. Oculus announced that a Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas VR version is incoming for the Oculus Quest 2.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced this during the Facebook Connect livestream. In it, he just briefly mentioned that the game was coming to the Quest 2. No other details were given, meaning there was no release date or any sort of trailer. Rockstar Games has also not tweeted about the game, but Oculus stated that the title has been “many years in the making.”

This is the second PlayStation 2-era title that Oculus has re-released. The company just put out Resident Evil 4 VR, which brought that 2005 entry into VR. While it isn’t clear just yet, RE4VR is only out on the Quest 2, meaning there is a precedent that San Andreas VR might also share the same fate.
