February has only just started and games are already getting delayed out of 2022. According to a new report, Rocksteady Studios’ Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is getting pushed into 2023.

Bloomberg has said report on the unconfirmed delay, relaying information from its sources. However, it didn’t contain any extra information explaining why the delay was happening. It’s possible that Warner Bros. didn’t want to release Gotham Knights in close proximity to Suicide Squad as both were originally slated for sometime in 2022 and both are cooperative titles based on DC characters.
Gotham Knights is still currently listed for 2022, according to Warner Media Chief Executive Officer Jason Kilar. He recently tweeted that WB was going to be “delivering of a full slate of highly anticipated games” and posted pictures of Gotham Knights and Hogwarts Legacy. Suicide Squad was noticeably absent from the list.

Suicide Squad, like the other WB games listed, never had a solid release date, only a vague 2022 window. But many likely assumed it was coming in 2022 because it was announced in 2020 after being in development for a long time. It has been almost seven years since Rocksteady released a full game as 2015’s Batman: Arkham Knight was the team’s last project.
