As was promised, WB Montreal showed more off of Gotham Knights, its upcoming Batman-less brawler, at this year’s DC FanDome. While the reveal already contained gameplay, this new update gives a closer look at the mischievous Court of Owls. It still has a vague release date of 2022 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The first story trailer, listed below, gives a sneak peek at the mysterious Court of Owls, the Illuminati-like force pulling the strings in Gotham. In it, protagonists Red Hood, Batgirl, Nightwing, and Robin can be seen going up against their forces in various ways.

DC also released a behind-the-scenes look at the game where some of its creators spoke about the Court of Owls as well as how they are translating the source material for the game. WB Montreal said it has expanded and added to the existing lore to keep people on their toes. This also feeds into its RPG nature as players will come across enemies that they must figure out the weaknesses to and then choose their loadout accordingly.
