The last Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II teaser was cryptic, but did at least show the main characters in the game through a few new posters. Activision released another teaser and while it still doesn’t have any gameplay, it does show live-action versions of those same characters and confirms the date for its full gameplay reveal.

The teaser is quite is short and draped in shadow, only giving brief teases of the main squad on their way to a battle. It then drops the “The Ultimate Weapon is Team” tagline before confirming the June 8 gameplay reveal (which will start at 10 a.m. PT). The date was heavily implied in the last teaser with an unsubtle “J-8-22” draped across one piece of the environment. The date was also the one floating around among insiders, too.
June 8 is the day before Summer Game Fest Live, meaning it is getting its own event. It’s unclear how long the event will be or what modes it will discuss.

Steam also seemingly confirmed Call of Duty‘s return to the platform. The official Steam Twitter account quote tweeted the announcement with the eyes emoji, heavily insinuating that the shooter series would be making its way back to the digital PC marketplace. Steam hasn’t had the last four Call of Duty titles, with 2017’s WWII being the last one to drop on Valve’s PC storefront. This was not too much of a secret, as users found Modern Warfare II‘s artwork on Steam earlier this week.
