Capcom has not showed much of the Resident Evil 4 remake, opting to keep its trailers brief and mysterious. However, now the team has revealed not one, but two trailers for it that give a better look at its gameplay and cinematics.
The footage might seem familiar to those who have played the original, but it is a bit different. The scenario takes place at night now and the first house is much bigger. It draws the sequence out and turns it into something more horror focused. It then cuts to the village fight, giving players a look at one of the game’s most iconic battles. The trailer also has a glimpse of some new mechanics like the parry and knife-based executions. After the gameplay, Capcom unveiled the merchant, who has a new voice and an upgraded shop that has more features.

Capcom then dropped a cinematic trailer going through more of its cutscenes, environments, and characters. This video gives viewers a peek at Ashley, Ada, Luis, Mendez, and Saddler, as well as El Gigante and some of the other enemies.
The Resident Evil 4 remake is also getting a few special editions. This $69.99 deluxe edition is the first one and will only be available digitally. It comes with the game, four costumes for Leon, two for Ashley, two filters, two deluxe weapons, a treasure map, sporty sunglasses, and the ability to switch to the original soundtrack.
The collector’s edition is one step up and only available physically for $249.99. It has everything from the deluxe edition, a steelbook, digital soundtrack, a Leon statue, an artbook, a poster, a box, and an “extra DLC product code,” but Capcom didn’t detail what was in the DLC.
Those who pre-order any digital edition on the PlayStation Store will get the soundtrack, too. Pre-ordering the standard edition nets players a gold attache case and a handgun ammo charm that hangs off the case. Pre-ordering the deluxe or collector’s edition unlocks those bonuses as well as a classic attache skin and green herb attache case charm. Pre-orders are going live sometime later today.
