Friday marks the beginning of another Fortnite x Star Wars crossover, with content coming to Battle Royale, Lego, Festival, and Rocket Racing. Players can rescue Chewbacca, battle the Empire, Battle Royle, and form a band in the Mos Eisley Cantina. The crossover also adds new weapons, quests, outfits, and more.
Fortnite crosses over with Star Wars
Fortnite Battle Royale players will notice Imperial Roadblocks scattered around the map. One of them, and it’s random every match, will feature a captured Chewbacca for players to rescue. Not only will he join his rescuer in battle, but he will also reward them with a Wookie Bowcaster. Players can also find the Bowcaster in Imperial Chests at other Roadblocks. It can fire a regular bolt quickly, and players can charge it up for an explosive shot.
Fortnite players should also watch out for an Imperial shuttle touching down in Battle Royale. Players who defeat Darth Vader and his Stormtroopers can claim his Lightsaber. In addition to being a melee weapon, it can block shots or be thrown at enemies. Players can also claim the E-11 Blaster from defeated Stormtroopers or Chests at Vader’s landing site. Players can also unlock the AWR Pack Back Bling by completing 10 Star Wars quests in Battle Royale.
Meanwhile, Lego Fortnite players can build and defend the Rebel Village with Lightsabers, Bowcasters, DL-44 Blasters, E-11 Blasters, and Thermal Detonators. Progressing through the Rebel Adventure will unlock new decor and the Chewbacca Outfit.
Additionally, the Mos Eisley Cantina is available now as a location for Fortnite Festival. Festival players can then unlock the Seven-string Hallikset Guitar by completing seven Quests.
Rocket Racing players can unlock new Pod Racer and Darth Maul decals by completing May The Forth Quests. Finally, several new Star Wars items are for sale in the Shop.
