With a critically acclaimed season 1, the Deadloch Season 2 release date has become hotly anticipated. The series follows leading characters Senior Sergeant Dulcie Collins and Detective Eddie Redcliffe, along with an overeager junior, Abby Matsuda, as they investigate the murder of a local man. Considering that the noir comedy still has plenty of stories left to tell, it’s understandable why fans of the series are looking forward to season 2. But when is it coming out?

Is there a Deadloch Season 2 release date?
Deadloch Season 2’s release date could arrive by 2025.
The first season of Deadloch began streaming on June 1, 2023, and ended with its 8th episode on July 7, 2023. But since then, Prime Video hasn’t made an official renewal announcement. Considering that the series only ended recently, it is natural for the streaming service to wait for a month or two before announcing its second season.
Series co-creator Kate McCartney alluded to the possibility of future seasons while speaking with Concrete Playground. So, there’s certainly room for multiple seasons, and it’s quite likely that the show will be renewed. Another factor in its favor is that it won’t be affected by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA Actor Strike as it is an Australian series, and most of the cast and crew involved are also Aussies.
However, it’s still unlikely for the second season to arrive in 2024 because the writing process will only begin after the second season’s announcement. The filming will follow after that. So, Deadloch season 2 will probably arrive in 2025 after it gets renewed.
