What Happened at the end of Death and Other Details Episode 3?
Towards the end, Imogene follows Leila to a secret passage in the ship only to get apprehended by Jules, while Cotesworth and Eriksen search his room.
Episode 3, “Troublesome” begins with Interpol Agent Hilde Eriksen arriving onboard to take over the investigation of Keith’s murder. Meanwhile, Imogene continues her investigation to find out what’s hidden in the files of Collier Mills Company regarding Viktor Sams.
The episode also sees Anna trying to save the Billion Dollar deal with the Chuns and the reveal of Anna’s mother Katherine being involved in an affair with Father Toby.
But the biggest reveal comes at the very end where Imogene’s investigation leads her to follow Leila. As she hides from her wife Anna and walks into a secret passage in the ship, Imogene tails her but ends up finding Jules instead.
On the other end, Cotesworth and Eriksen search Jules and Simon’s room, only to find that Jules wasn’t who he said he was. “Jules Toussaint” was an alias, and the man using his name was a long-time criminal. As soon as this revelation is made, fake Jules apprehends Imogene. He tells her, “You shouldn’t have come here,” right before the episode ends.
Is Jules involved in Keith’s murder?
With Jules having a long rap sheet, he could have been hired to infiltrate the Varuna and take down Keith. Whether he did it or not remains to be seen. But he certainly knows something about Keith’s killer.
Episode 4 is expected to reveal the real identity of Jules and a bit of his backstory. We may also get to see how he is involved with Leila, and whether he is a protagonist or an antagonist as Episode 3 suggests.
But we can be certain about two things. The first is that he won’t be killing the lead, Imogene, and the second is that he is aware of something crucial about Keith’s murder. It’ll be interesting to see what it is!
