The Boys Season 4 Episode 3: What Happens to Firecracker & Does She Die?

The Boys Season 4 introduces a new member to The Seven: Firecracker. This character’s addition has sparked fan theories, particularly about Firecracker’s possible demise in the season. Valorie Curry‘s Firecracker powers are not as extensive as some other members of The Seven, leaving fans with an interesting inquisition: does Firecracker die?

Here’s everything you need to know about incidents that involve Firecracker in The Boys Season 4.

What happens to Firecracker in The Boys Season 4 Episode 3?

In Episode 3 of The Boys Season 4 Firecracker officially joins The Seven.

The episode opens with a speech by Homelander (Antony Starr), who presents his vision to a divided audience. One group, aligned with Starlight (Erin Moriarty), opposes Homelander, while his die-hard supporters cheer him on.

Homelander states his intention to destroy Starlight and explains that The Seven will help him make America great again. He then introduces Black Noir (Nathan Mitchell), The Deep (Chace Crawford), his son, Ryan, and the newly recruited members, Sister Sage (Susan Heyward) and Firecracker. This marks Firecracker’s official induction into The Seven.

The episode also makes it clear that Firecracker harbors a strong dislike for Starlight. It also explores their backstory, revealing that they have known each other since high school. During a visit to Vought’s chambers, Starlight confronts Firecracker to understand the source of her anger.

Firecracker then shares an emotional account from when she was 13 and known as Sparkler. She recalls reaching the finals of a singing competition, only to be humiliated by other students who believed a rumor spread by Starlight—that Sparkler had slept with the judges to advance, as it seemed impossible for a poor girl like her to succeed otherwise. Starlight tearfully apologizes, but Firecracker rejects her apology.

Does Firecracker die in The Boys Season 4?

No, Firecracker doesn’t die in Episode 3 of The Boys Season 4.

However, Firecracker survives a vicious attack by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), and his team in Episode 2. In Episode 2, Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Kimiko, Frenchie, and Butcher go after Sister Sage, who has joined Homelander, to uncover their plans. They find Firecracker performing on stage and giving a speech to the audience.

Sister Sage then approaches Firecracker and invites her to join The Seven. Shortly after, Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara), Frenchie (Tomer Capone), and Mother’s Milk are surrounded by Sister Sage, Firecracker, and her armed men. A brawl ensues, during which Firecracker’s friend dies, but Firecracker manages to escape.

As the stakes are higher than ever, The Boys team must overcome their differences and find a way to take down the corrupt Supes before it’s too late. With Firecracker joining The Seven, fans can anticipate a more prominent role for her. Additionally, a showdown between Firecracker and Starlight is inevitable.
